Election Commission’s press conference a day before the results: Election Commissioner said- We were called missing gentlemen; during this time a world record of voting was made in the country

The Election Commission is holding a press conference a day before the counting of the Lok Sabha elections. Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar said on social media trolling – We were called missing gentlemen, but during this time a world record of voting was made in the country. This is the strength of our democracy.

This is the first time that the EC is holding a press conference after the Lok Sabha election voting. Since 1952, the Election Commission has never held a press conference after voting and before the results in any Lok Sabha election. Earlier, the Election Commission had announced the election dates for the Lok Sabha and 4 assemblies in a press conference on March 16.
