Canadian billionaire Frank Stronach has been accused of five crimes including rape, sexual assault and forced confinement of a woman.
Canada’s famous businessman Frank Stronk was arrested on Friday on charges of sexual assault. Stronk is the founder of the world’s largest auto parts company. Police have currently released Stronk on some conditions. He will have to appear in a court in Brampton, Ontario later.
Canada’s Peel Regional Police said in a statement that 91-year-old Stronk is accused of sexually assaulting women from the 80s to 2023. The famous businessman has been accused of five crimes including rape, sexual assault, and forcibly confining a woman.
Peel Regional Police Constable Taylor Bell said the businessman has been accused of abuse by more than one woman. However, he did not give information about how many women have made this allegation. He said that this is a high-profile case.
Our team has the responsibility to protect the victims. For their safety, we are not going to tell how many victims have filed complaints against Stronk. Bell said that they are appealing to people to come forward if they have any information related to Stronk or if they have also been exploited.
Stronck was born in Austria in 1932. He was 6 years old when Hitler’s Nazi army took over his country. His childhood was spent during the Great Depression and World War II. Stronck left his studies at the age of 14. He started doing small jobs. During this time he worked in a parts company. He worked as a die maker in a printing press.
At just 22 years of age, Frank Stronck left Austria.
In 1954, in search of a better future, he left for Canada with just a briefcase and a few hundred dollars. In 1957, he founded a company in his home garage and started an auto parts business. His business took off.
A big phase in his career came in the year 1969 when he acquired Magna Electronics. In the year 1973, he named his company Magna International. Currently, his company is spread across 34 countries. 1,70,000 employees work in his company. His company does a business of 40 billion dollars every year. His company also does business of horse racing.
Frank Stronach was once included in the list of Canada’s richest people. Currently, his wealth is $1.50 billion. Currently, he is the 31st richest person in the country.
Despite getting success, he left politics.
In September 2012, Frank Stronck formed a right wing party named ‘Team Stronck’. In the elections held next year, his party became the third largest party in the country. After this, he went to Austria in 2013. But he got bored within 2 months. He returned to Canada again.
In October 2018, Frank Stronach filed a case against his daughter Belinda. He alleged that his daughter was hell-bent on ruining his company. However, Belinda denied this.
