Ukrainian President Zelensky released a video and gave information about the two Chinese citizens.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has claimed that his intelligence agency has identified 155 Chinese citizens who are fighting on Russia’s side. This number could be even higher. He said that he has the names and passport details of all the people identified.
Zelensky said that Russia is recruiting Chinese citizens through social media. China is also aware of this. He said that Ukraine is trying to find out whether the recruiters are getting instructions from Beijing or not.
Earlier on Tuesday, Zelensky had claimed that the Ukrainian army had captured two Chinese citizens fighting on behalf of Russia. He also attached a video related to this in which the hands of the captured people were tied with zip-ties. This was the first time that Ukraine made such a claim about Chinese fighters.

Zelensky said that Russia is dragging China into this war. This is part of Putin’s plan. Putin wants the war to spread to Europe.
According to reports, the Ukrainian army was fighting with 6 Chinese citizens in Donetsk. During this, 2 people were captured alive. It is not yet clear whether the remaining four Chinese citizens were killed or fled.
Zelensky claimed that identity cards, bank cards and personal data were found on the arrested Chinese citizens. He also said that the Chinese citizens are now in the custody of the Security Service of Ukraine. Zelensky also posted a video of the arrested Chinese citizens on social media.
China said – there is no truth in Ukraine’s claim
Zelensky claimed the next day on Wednesday that he was ready to exchange two prisoners of war for Ukrainian soldiers held captive in Russia. China has rejected Zelensky’s claim. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said on Wednesday that there is no truth in this claim.
The Chinese government has always asked its citizens to stay away from the war zone and avoid getting involved in any kind of fighting. Lin Jian said that China is talking to Ukraine and getting all the information related to this matter.
China calls itself neutral in the war and says it neither provides arms nor sends troops. Russia has not commented on the matter. However, the US said the information was shocking.
US State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said that China is Russia’s ally, which is promoting war. Russia has been supplying drone parts and micro-electronics to China in the past, but the presence of troops is surprising.
Claims of the presence of foreign soldiers in the Russia-Ukraine war have been made before. Earlier, South Korea had claimed that 10,000 North Korean soldiers are fighting in Ukraine on behalf of Russia.
Fighting for money and Russian citizenship
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s newspaper Pravda, citing the Ukrainian army, has reported that Russia is paying Chinese citizens to fight the war. The man who has been caught was given $3,480, i.e. Rs 3 lakh, by a Russian broker in China. Along with this, he was also promised Russian citizenship.
One of the arrested men told Ukrainian authorities that he was trained in the Luhansk region along with several Chinese citizens. Many of these people had cases pending against them in China and wanted to leave their country.
A few months ago, a Russian hacker group named RHDIT made public the information about foreign soldiers fighting for Ukraine. According to this, since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine war, mercenaries from 36 European countries have arrived to fight. Apart from this, citizens of 22 Asian countries including India are fighting on behalf of Ukraine.
According to this claim, 2960 citizens of the neighbouring country Poland have reached Ukraine so far. Out of these, 1497 have died on the battlefield. More than 1100 US soldiers are also fighting the war against Russia. 491 have died in this.
