USA wins its biggest run chase: Canada concedes 33 runs in one over in the first match of T20 World Cup; Moments and records

The T20 World Cup started with a match between Canada and America played at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas. After a good start in the powerplay, Canada lost its first wicket in the 6th over. Navneet Dhaliwal escaped being run out just two balls later. After getting a reprieve, Navneet played an innings of 61 runs.

Canada scored 194 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. In reply, thanks to Aaron Jones’ unbeaten innings of 94 runs, America chased its biggest target and won the match.

1. Navneet Dhaliwal escapes run out
